Federal Tax Credit for High Efficiency HVAC

Federal Tax Credits up to $1500.00 are available under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

Equipment must meet the following requirements:

• Air Conditioners: At least a 16 SEER and 13 EER rating
• Gas Furnaces: At least a 95% AFUE rating for gas furnaces or a partial credit for installation of a furnace with a variable speed motor
• Heat Pumps: At least a 15 SEER and 12.5 EER rating for Heat Pumps
• Boilers: Gas and Oil- Fired Boilers 90% AFUE or GREATER

Equipment must be placed in service from January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2010. Must be your primary residence. Not all equipment combinations will qualify for the federal tax credit.
